Within a few weeks of owning my K5 EX I unfortunately curbed a front wheel and got a nice case of curb rash. Do any of you have DIY tips on how to fix (or lessen) the damage?

Do the K5 wheels have a special coating? Not sure if super fine sand paper or emery cloth is what should be used.

Ouch! Looks like that silver part is a sticker or insert check with Kia they may sell it.

I wish it was that easy. It's the standard aluminum alloy wheel on the EX. The close-up picture makes it look worse. Total newbie here... so I'll call around to get estimates for the repair. I've watched some YouTube diy videos but don't want to risk making matters worse.
