Look at that shine! I just got my EX black/black this week. Unfortunately not as clean as yours (otherwise i'd post a pic) ....SW Ohio road salt!
I notice your lower grill has no license plate badge. Did your K5 have one and you removed it? (I haven't looked to see if it's just clipped on). Thanks.

In all fairness, that was on day 2 of ownership. It’s currently in a constant state of dirt and salt. I live in PA, so we don’t have front plates.

I just realized that about the plates. Ohio no longer needs them but that law was passed, i think, just last year. I checked and the "badge" is part of the grill. Its not hateful, just not the clean lines like yours.

Please forgive how dirty it is in some of these pictures, I bought it during bad winter weather so it isn’t as clean as it should be. I purchased some emblem overlays with the K logo that I found on Etsy and find it looks 500% better.
I like these emblem overlays because they can be removed and you aren’t dicking around with removing the ones on the car already. They are actually made of stamped aluminum, have a full pad of 3M VHB tape on the back, and they fit perfectly over the existing emblem.

hehe 'clean' but thank you, I was trying to come up with something. That is my 'home away from home' go kart track there. I was hanging out with the boys showing off the new ride. I am gonna wash the car this weekend after I mow the yard then she'll be clean for real again. The biggest :( on the car right now is how the dirt just sticks to it.

Oh believe me, it's the same with the blue color. A dark body color tend to make dirt just "pop" as much as the body paint does. lol Just for that, I tend to give my car a wash every week. If not, I'd spray it down with just water in between car washes. Ceramic products really help keep the car cleaner for longer as it super beads up water and sheets them off your car.

I personally use the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution line (smells wonderful like mangoes... lol). It's not sudsy so it doesn't work with well with foam guns and some people don't like it for that reason but I find it still cleans the car just as well and stays super slick well after the suds are gone from the bucket.

Meguiar's recently launched their own line of Ceramic products and has been heavily promoting theirs in places like Walmart and Autozone. I haven't tried their car wash solution yet but their spray on wax is super milky and thick so you'll have to be careful how much you spray on your car. They are safe on all surfaces like glass, rubber, and plastic trims so you won't have to worry about residue like traditional wax.

Those are the brands I tend to use but you're welcome to try others as well.

I am looking at getting ceramic done my choices come down to

Full Body Wrap for color change + Cermaic on top

or

Front End XPEL PPFE + XPEL Ceramic Coating

I like the Ebony, but kinda had my heart set on blue. So I have to make that call, I think that I may go with just the PPFE+Ceramic.

One thing if you use the ceramics it was suggested to get a leaf blower instead of hand drying.

I'm currently debating on getting film for the front of mine, I just got a minor rock chip, so I'm ready for some armor. I had planned on getting it ceramic coated, bc being black, the idea was to spray it with the hose and then dry it with a leaf blower. Clean every week. I may be asking too much 😄
