Considering the intake Air Temperature (IAT) readings I got when adding a K&N intake I don't think it's necessary to add a fan UNLESS you do A LOT of stop and go driving where you literally continuously stay in one place for 5 minutes or more.
The K5 intercooler does a really good job of cooling the intake air - the IAT stays within 20 degrees of ambient air temperature.
