Im assuming the remote start is the same distance as the lock/unlock because the manual also says the remote keyless entry will not work if any of the following occurs: You exceed the operating distance limit. (about 10 m [32 ft].)I was on the 7th story of a hotel over the weekend, and the car was down and across the street on the 2nd story of the parking garage. Lock and unlock worked flawlessly at roughly 300 ft.
I did not test this, but I'm sure it would have worked. If you can lock the door, I'm sure you can start the car.
