I always go with cheap plastic ones from ebay. If i only need a couple mm, then thin metal works to.

That box looks very familiar, I believe I use those exact ones for my winter wheels.
The first time I took the winter wheels off in the spring I forgot about them and they stayed stuck on the hubs. When I went to put the stock wheels back on they wouldn’t fit. It took me a second to figure it out but when I did, I had a good laugh. I had to gently pry them off with a putty knife while smiling to myself. Won’t make that mistake again, lol.
