Im looking for a FWD GT line with red interior and all the ones here are AWD. I feel like im wasting 2-3k in getting this since we always have good weather here. Does it drive any different? Is there any advantage at all?

So I don't know about the desert, but I can honestly tell you, I live in the north east, and I got boned when I purchased my car because I got the FWD, and was not told about an AWD being dropped off at the dealership 2 weeks later. Can you say ****** much?

Either way, my car handled pretty damn good with the snow we got up here this season. We didn't get pummeled, but with it being just FWD, I was able to haul *** through up to 9" of snow and maintain pretty good control.

Personally, if you always have good weather, I would request to have a FWD one sent over to you. I'm sure they will waive the shipment fees. Let me know if you end up getting the AWD or not, because I am possibly moving from RI to NM and if it is TRULY beneficial to have the AWD out in NM, I'm going to see if the dealership there will be willing to do a trade of some sort.

Up here they have a ton of them. You're talking about the Wolf Gray with the red interior, right? If so, you can reach out to this dealership out here and they can likely send it to you depending on where you're located.

Im in Tucson, AZ so i doubt they would deliver this far. I reached out to some places in California and even they wanted alot of $ to deliver.

AWD is only really good for wet or snow covered road surfaces. Unless you plan on running it in the sand, FWD is plenty.

I got the AWD today because thats all I could find. Didnt end up paying extra for it because of the $2500 they chopped off the top before we even negotiated.

Have to admit, I did kind of laugh at this. You could totally feel like you're in a commercial for an F150 ripping through sand dunes in a kia

They say the AWD version is well balanced compared to the FWD drive version. I've only driven the AWD model, so I can't compare.

With the AWD you also shouldn’t see the torque steer at the steering wheel that can happen with the FWD during hard acceleration.
