Should be interesting sent kia corporate a query to find out why dealership wants to service more frequently than book indicates even for severe conditions.

I'm in Canada dealer wants 6k vs book 7.5k.

The book says 6000 miles in the US. I remember when I got my previous car 2016 Optima EX, I was happy when I saw a 7500 mile interval. Then when I hit 7500 I went in and they told me that in the northeast the interval is actually 5000 miles. I read the small print that in harsher northern climate the interval was shorter. I didn't see anything indicating a shorter duration in cold climates on my K5 though. I guess I'll find out when I bring it in for my 1st service. If the lockdown doesn't end soon, that might be summer 2022 though. I went from driving 15000 miles a year to 4500 last year.
