Muffler delete engine code

I did a muffler delete and keep getting an engine code that comes and disappears. Was wondering if anyone is having the same issue. Still have cats/resonator just a single exit muffler delete

I have a muffler delete and haven’t had any lights come on, had it for a couple of months now.
Can you get the code?
P0471 it's a backpressure code. Not enough back pressure. I'ma gonna get my welds checked by another muffler shop but the code disappears on it's own
Can you get the code?
Where is a good place to get a muffler delete kit?

I wouldn't know. I cut mine off and welded a downward facing pipe to keep it looking oem at a muffler shop.

weird to get the code with just a muffler delete, I had my secondary cats/res and muffler taken off and that's when I got the code. Had muffler delete before that with no issues, and right now I'm running a high flow cat in place of the cat/res and no codes. How'd you end up getting rid of the code?
It comes back on and off at random times. Im thinking my sensor is messed up but I have a OBD11 sensor in my car to delete it if it comes back
Maybe but I don't doubt that the sensor is working fine, it's just sensitive. I'm running straight pipes from the cat back right now and it sounds incredible. No codes too, for now.

Are there any sensors after the cat? Thinking of changing the primary cat to high flow cat.
And a res delete.

Sorry for the late reply, I deleted the secondary cat/res and muffler. Got a backpressure code (P0471) but cleared it and it never came back, although when I do scan for codes it comes up. Some people say the code goes away on its own eventually, so I'll wait and see about that.

basically, the car won't be happy unless a certain amount of backpressure is given and I found that straight pipes with primary cats + high flow cats for secondary works just fine. If you're gonna do high flow cats in place of your primary, you're probably gonna also get an O2 sensor code.

use spacers to get rid of the O2 code and clear the backpressure code, and you should be fine with running that exhaust setup.

It could be bc of something else w ur exhaust setup
So if I go with secondary high flow cat and res delete +muffler delete, I should be fine.
Have you noticed any lag or loss of performance?
Exactly, no codes thrown with great sound. No gain/loss is really that noticeable I’d assume that since there’s weight reduction and more free-flowing exhaust, there’s some hp gains

can you share any sound clips? also when you say secondary cat, you have 2 cats there?

Will a CEL come on if i cut the resonator off from the cat?
replaced my oem exhaust with the new borla catback, no codes after almost 500 miles.

what kind of high flow cat should I get that is cheap and wont throw O2 sensor codes?
