Hello all,
Just picked up my black K5 EX this weekend. I had a 2016 Optima SLX. I was approaching 90,000 miles. My girlfriend needed a new vehicle as well. She was driving a tank of a truck, 2002 GMC 2500 HD with 8’ bed. It had 317,000 miles on it. It was getting tired and I was getting tired of working on it. LOL.
My dealership had sent me an offer for my SLX and I was able to get in the 2021 EX for the same payment. I went with the EX, instead of waiting for the GTs to come out. I really didn’t need all the extra bells and whistles that were in my SLX. My GF has been shopping around for 3 months and had decided she like the Sedona. Well, I made an appointment at the dealership to maybe get her to finally commit. So she diid. The dealer gave her a heck of a deal on a new AWD 2020 Sedona, they wanted the 2020s off the lot, and I got my K5. The sales guy was rather happy getting a 2fer. Lol
I was a little apprehensive of getting the 1.6T. But, coupled with the 8 speed transmission, it actual does rather well. It doesn’t have the get up and go my 2.0T had in the SLX but still more than enough get up and go to maneuver. if need be.
We’ll see how it goes. I didn’t have a single issue from my 2016. Hopefully this will still be the same on this new purchase.
