I have a 23 Gtline with the 10.25in screen non Bose. I was messing around the settings the other day and noticed the rear had very little output. And yes before you ask, I moved the fader to the rear and left and right. Even with the volume up to 40, output was weak. I like a front stage as much as the next guy, however it just seems odd that they wouldn't be very loud. Did kia do this intentionally?

I did. My service advisor came out to the car with me to hear it and come to the conclusion that it's just part of the design of the radio. No, the audio is definitely sub-par. I had an Optima before this and I thought that has so-so audio, but the K5 is much worse. In the Optima I adjusted to the sound pretty quickly, but in the K5, my ears just can't accept how bad it is. I mostly listed to audio books now.
