Yes I have taken mine in twice because of this. They resurfaced them twice.... unfortunately I wanted new ones but they said if it happens again for the 3rd time they said they would.

21 K5 with 12k miles has worn brakes and rotors and need to be replaced according to the dealer. I was experiencing shaking in the steering wheel while braking at highway speeds. Currently waiting for Kia to determine if they will cover under warranty. This is obviously a major with a lot of K5s. I drive my car like an old lady I can’t even remember a time where I slammed on the brakes hard in this car. Will be looking into AM rotors and brakes if Kia does not cover this under warranty.

Hey, it should be absolutely covered under warranty, took mine in for the third time a month ago , they replaced brakes and rotors with new ones. For free.

Yes had to replace perilla tires due to cupping per dealer at 27k miles put Michelin on shaking again when braking at highway speed at 31 k miles. At dealer now having all 4 rotors ground. At my expense! This I believe is definitely a KIA issue! Of course dealer or KIA will not admit! I have a 22?KIA K5 Premium model please everyone with this problem please post and write KIA consumer affairs, this is the only way we will get justice

Yeah same I got new tires hoping that would fix the issue no. Took it back to the dealer 4th time after I purchased tires. I purchased Michelins. I needed to pay Kia for them to “fix it” so after that I got rid of the car, I wish you the best of luck.

I would say you changed the tires at the appropriate time, regardless. My P Zeros were starting to chip into the wear indicators in the grooves at 20k miles. Apparently, the OE P-ZEROS are known for their ridiculously poor treadwear, even on other makes and models.

I currently switched them out for another set of Pirellis, this time to the P7 All Season Plus. Compared to the P-Zeros, these have a much higher rated treadwear and all around performance and comfort as well. Time will tell how long they'll last but I'm hoping the treadwear is just due to those specific tires. Everything else, though, it feels much better driving on these tires. Less noise and better comfort on top of better braking.

I still need to get my rotors resurfaced, though. It wasn't covered under warranty for me either so I'll have to pay out of pocket.

I will say, though, that the brakes shaking only started happening after my car decided to slam on the brakes due to the Emergency Braking System detecting a car slowing to a stop for me to park into a parking space.

I would definitely look into upgrading to after market parts. The OEM brakes are trash. I recently charged mine and its was def worth it. Plus I saved a lot too. Dealer was asking for 1200!!! I did full brake job for less than $500 for parts and labor

Did anyone find a solution that solved this issue? I’m experiencing steering wheel vibrations in my ‘23 EX (Canada) with about 5,000 km’s on it. Have had an alignment done and it reduced the vibration through the steering wheel at lower speeds, but I can still feel it at times over 90 km/h up to about 110 km/h (55mph to 70 mph).

Need to change rotors and brake pads. The OEM rotors specially the front are really terrible. I thought it was my tires at first but no, after changing them I still had shaking. Full brake job fixed it.
