Yesterday trunk opened - today the trunk release clicks, but trunk will not open. Tried all Kia forums - crawled into trunk and safety release won't open it, pushed trunk down hard, double clicked on trunk release on fob, trunk release under dashboard - nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Worth climbing back in and taking down the trunk lid liner. 2 part plastic clips. You should be able to manually move the latch from there with a flat head screwdriver.

Thanks for info. Dealer said it was faulty latch and we had to wait for them to order parts. I was going to try your idea, but was afraid if it opened, I wouldn't get it closed and we were heading out of town.
