Has anybody put wheel spacers on the K5? I'm thinking about doing it, even if just small ones.

I'm thinking 15mm front and 20mm rear (or so), just to try to get flush with the top of the wheel well.

Also, considering upgrade to tires to maybe something wider and higher profile (to also help fill some gap). Something like 240/50 r18 (vs. 235/45 r18)

Thoughts? Pics? Stories? LMK thanks!

I just ordered a set from Ebay. 15mm front and 20mm rear wheel spacers. Should arrive in 1-2 weeks. I'll update for anyone interested in seeing what that will look like.
Current status (no spacers):

As a mechanical engineer, former racer, and life-long restorer and amateur mechanic - and I give this advice with great respect for your views - please don't put these spacers on your car. The bearings and suspension components were not designed for the extra loads these will put on them. What you're doing - basic physics - is using a longer "lever arm" to stress the wheel bearings and linkages each time the tire hits a bump, curb, or pothole, greatly increasing the forces the bearings and suspension must handle.

In my opinion, the designers did a great job on the car, and any changes may or may not be attractive - beauty being in the eye of the beholder, and all that stuff. My 2023 Arctic White GT-Line with red interior is beautiful, and I'm leaving it pretty much as-is.

I appreciate your feedback. I'd be more worried if I were going bigger than 10mm&20mm. I've had spacers on previous cars, and friends of mine have them as well. I totally understand your point, but I feel these are minimal, subtle changes that I don't anticipate will lead to breakdowns or wheels popping off. It's a small adjustment for what I consider minimal (to no) risk, and I think they do a lot for the aesthetic. I'm not offroading nor am I drag racing, so I'm not too concerned about causing any significant issues or mechanical breakdowns.

Thanks though.

When you receive these, can you please send pics of the spacers before installing, and then pics of the car after installation ? Curious to see how what it will look like. Thanks
Sure thing. I'll try to get some good angle before/after pics from the front/rears. Like I said, it should be a subtle difference, but flush with the fender, and slightly different than stock.

I've heard about that when looking at wheels and spacers. Apparently, I also read that wider wheels would also similarly stress the bearings and suspensions.
