I certainly hope not. More electronic fault codes to worry about as the car ages.
I didn't vote because I really have no idea. That being said, I have had 1 vehicle w/ a full digital dash ('19 Mustang GT 'vert) and while I did like it, I can't say it was necessary. There's enough electronic and digital whatsits and whosits in today's cars as it is, so I like the fact that there's a couple of 'normal' gauges in the dash (even though they are completely electronic and digitally operated).
in my case the only reason I would be interested if it came with the lane change cameras. Where i live we have the best bad drivers. As soon as the see you have a turn signal on decide they want to be in that lane.

I agree - that is a great feature.
My 2022 Santa Cruz has a full DD and I like it. It switched to cameras (left or right) when turn signal is active. I hope the 2024 KIA has the same DD and Crystal Badge factory color.

I'm on the other side of the issue. I also had a Santa Cruz, and frankly I was unimpressed. Hyundai does a good job, meaning that they make the gauges look just like analog ones ..... so what's the point of going the long way around to make digital gauges look like "real" ones?

As for the blind spot views in the cluster, I found those to be distracting. Hit the turn signal stalk and suddenly there's a view of the road moving the other way from the way you're going, and that can be disorienting. I MUCH prefer the good ol' alert beep.

For me the digital dash is just basically a gimmick, and I see no real reason for it. I'm fine with the analog.

I’ve seen this same discussion taking place in a FB group. There were some screenshots shared that showed what changes were coming for the 2024 K5 and there was nothing at all about the digital dash. I wouldn’t hold my breath as it seems like the K5 isn’t getting it until 2025, if at all.
With that said, I have the digital dash in my K5 GT as I have a Canadian model. I really like it. It has the option to switch the display to 4 different modes, 3 of which are similar to regular analog gauges and one which reminds me of an EV display that mimics the weather in the background. That one is my least favorite as it just seems out of place, but it’s nice to have the options. I’ve seen some other Kia vehicles that also have a digital dash but they look different in a bad way, it’s like they are flat and lack depth so it just looks like a screen, where as the K5 seems more appealing. It’s hard to describe.

These production-ready looking vehicles are from the Korean market and are never a direct match for what the US market receives. One could hope but I wouldn't necessarily count on it.
Truth is, regardless if analog or digital dash, if I like the car I'll buy it...:)

Before 2000 I would never have considered a car with all the bells and whistles - so much more to go bad. But today's quality is WAY higher...

I would think since they are sister vehicles, they'd try to keep as much in common as they can for manufacturing/production ease.

Got to remember, even the analog clusters these days are digital and electronic. The gauges are all electric stepper motors that will wear out over time and the gauge stops working completely or give you a false reading. You then have to replace the whole dash cluster, or find someone that will repair/replace each motor.

At least with digital, the gauges never wear out. Otherwise, you'll still have the other "shared" electronic fault codes.
