So I did try something a d it has worked on 3 short trips with no disconnects. I realized that I was always using the remote start. 3x now I have put the phone in the charging cradle and then started the car. Also waiting for it to fully connect before putting it in drive. Don't know why this would be different and maybe it will come back. But I still get audio drop outs using Spotify or Amazon music.I've been having this same issue disconnects constantly. Only think I can suggest is to blow up Google with emails and hope they patch it.
It's random for me I'll have some trips where there's not an issue and others where it drops disconnects several times in a row.So I did try something a d it has worked on 3 short trips with no disconnects. I had that same problem with my K5 LXS and it drove me crazy!. I took it back to the dealer and they did an update from KIA, and that seemed to fix the issue for me! Hope this helps.I get disconnected often as well. Sometimes in a minute or two, other times vary. Kinda weird.
What is your current running SW version? You can check it under General Settings > SW Info/Update.Has anyone had any updates to software for this issue yet? I feel like mine has gotten progressively worse to the point I don't even use AA anymore.

Mine's on DL3.USA.D2V.003.100.201016 and this is the latest version that's available for our model (no NAVI)
Damn, my car's at about 800 miles so far and I haven't had any disconnecting issues on Galaxy S9 and Google Pixel 3a, Scotty Kilmer said Google phones tend to work better for Android Auto though. But I do think it's the SW problem on Kia's side since it seems to have an issue with Apple Carplay as wellI am running the same

One thing I noticed that AA trying to disconnect BT connection for Media then connects to AA, maybe de-syncing BT audio for Media would help AA work better. It may be helpful to indicate what phone you are using as well. Wireless AA isn't just up to the car. certain phones have their own issues. So far I haven't had any issues in my GT-Line with the 8" screen using my Galaxy S21+. The only issue I've seen is sometimes it decides not to automatically connect to the car when I first get in. I have to hit the connect option on the screen, then it has always connected and stayed connected for the whole trip. I know I'm jinxing myself.
I did have the same issue, but I cleared the Kia Bluetooth pairing on my phone, turned off bluetooth, reset the blutetooth setup on the car to factory defaults, plugged in the phone via USB, turned BT back on, and went through the AA setup procedure all over again. It's working now.ok mine finally started acting up after I connected my phone to the USB port that's used for AA... I tried Google Pixel 3a and Galaxy S9 and now both showing "Phone project is not supported by this phone"... Resetting to factory default doesn't fix the issue either. AA works fine when using USB but it wouldn't work via Wifi..
Yeah it was weird stuff, I was able to fix it as soon as I restarted the car ><I did have the same issue, but I cleared the Kia Bluetooth pairing on my phone, turned off bluetooth, reset the blutetooth setup on the car to factory defaults, plugged in the phone via USB, turned BT back on, and went through the AA setup procedure all over again.
