My 2023 Kia K5 trunk will not open. You can hear it click but it will not open. I have not found a way into the trunk as the rear seat releases are in the trunk. Am I missing a secret release some where?

Try repeatedly bumping the trunk lid with the palm of your hand just above the release mechanism while pushing the button on the Trunk lid - or while someone pushes the dash trunk release button. If that doesn't work - it's dealer time!
There's also an emergency trunk release I believe on the lower driver side rear door sill, next to the rear seat. But all that does is unlatches the trunk like the switch would normally do, then the trunk lid automatically pops open due to the torsion bars. Speaking of, it could be that the torsion bars for the trunk lid may not be working as intended? Have you tried to see if you can open the trunk lid when you go to unlock and open the trunk?
OMG, my BMW did that and it cost $650 to get it open. Luckily I got reimbursed. Don't tell me this car doesn't have a key release either? How. @&^$##$%%!!
Key release is only for the front door. Lots of newer cars are going keyless trunks. For the back seat release being in the trunk is the dumbest feature. Had that in my 01 e46 coupe and never understood it if you locked your key in the trunk
