Same engine, different chassis. Does the N-Line come with AWD?

 

The N-Line does not come with AWD it is just the ugly twin. I do wonder if maybe Kia with their knowledge from Touring Car (I would love to see them return), tuned the chassis and suspension enough to overcome the N-Line with summer tires.

 

The sad thing is that is coming, which makes me have a sad... Also 11 hours Kia Fam

1st K5 is that yours in the video. (Pretty sure it isn't cause I think you have glacial white but it is Canadian, looks like Wolf Gray in the vid)

 

No not mine. Mine is also wolf grey.

 

Close races... I wonder how many miles each car has on it?

One thing I noticed when I was test driving during the buying process was that cars that had more mileage were smoother. You could tell that the computer had 'learned' a good pattern vs a car with less than 100 miles.

The 2 n-lines I test drove had less than 50 miles on the odo and they were downright uncivilized.

 

I'm assuming the N-Line has less seeing it was borrowed by hyundai?

 

That is my thought. Between that and the differences in drivers could account for some of those car length plus differentials

 

I believe that one is @ThatChocolateGuy's. He mentioned in another post that he worked with them for a few of these Kia GT vids at the drag strip.

 

You gotta see it in person. Looks awesome. Black must look cool. Especially after being detailed.

I've also been waiting for the rain to die down to get the water spots off my car... 😂 Can't really tell the huge line of water spot running across my hood because of all the water though. lol

 

Crazy weather we're having

 

When they both had a similarly good launch, you can see that they are both actually pretty much identical in speed and acceleration. There may be a slight advantage given to one over the other for the weight and possible aero, but I don't think it's enough to make much of a difference.

When it comes to styling, though, I'll still choose the K5 over the Sonata any day. lol I just wish the K5 also had the Sonata's interior features.

 

That was in normal mode. In sport +, I was a bit different.

 

Yeah sport+ was different for sure, the K5 was gapping pretty regular in Sport+ like I said that was unexpected.

 

@KunoMochi you're right on the money. It's my Husky in the video lol.

@Owyn999 hope you're happy with the results. Also, the sonata was on all-seasons as well. Fair fight 😉

P.S. We filmed both the Stinger and Sonata drags that day. Next up is the 330i

Eeeeee I LOVE seeing our horse going though that stinger battle was exactly as expected. But I will say there was one or two where I was actually kinda impressed by the lack of gapping
